Man facing charges over tyre slashing

A 44-year-old has been accused of slashing his neighbours’ tyres after police claimed blood left at the scene was his.

The man from Kirchdorf district, Upper Austria, had already been questioned by cops last November after eight tires on three of his neighbours’ cars were slashed, causing damage of 540 Euros.

Now he is facing charges of criminal damage after five tyres on two cars were slashed, causing damage of 500 Euros, on May 20.

Traces of blood were found at the scene and investigating officers have claimed the blood is that of the 44-year-old.

Prosecutors have said they will now press charges against him.
