Body blow for coffin calender
Rival coffin-makers are in a fight to the death - over who invented the idea of using heavenly bodies like this to sell their caskets.
Italian makers Cofanifunebri launched a raunchy calender this month claiming to be the first in the world with the dust to bust idea.
Now Polish casket experts Lindner have branded them grave robbers and say them came up with the calender idea years ago.
"Our Polish girls are prettier and our coffins are better and more exclusive. It is our idea," said furious Lindner boss Barthosz Lindner.
The Rome-based company say they had used the wives and girlfriends of employees for calendars in the past - and it was just a spontaneous idea to hire glamour models for the gothic-style shoot in an old church.
A Cofanifunebri spokesman said: "We also produce a 'fashion line' of coffins including ones in the colours of the city's football teams AS Roma and Lazio."
