Dr Deaths biggest tusk

Grisly Dr Death showman Gunther von Hagens has pulled off his biggest tusk ever - stripping back the preserved corpse of a fully-grown elephant.

The female beast died of a heart attack aged 41 after spending a lifetime at Germany's Neunkirchen Zoo, before she was given the medic's plastination treatment, replacing her muscles and bones with medical plastic.

"It took me and my 35-member team 65,000 work hours to get her right," said von Hagens.

Now the work will go back to the zoo for a special display on elephant anatomy.
