I nose all about brandy

Official brandy taster Liu Ge nose he's got to do something about one of the unwelcome side effects of his job.

So after 52 years of swilling up to two litres of brandy a day, he's turned to medics in the Chinese capital Beijing to reduce his massively swollen nose.

"Drinking alcohol has been just like drinking water to me. I had to drink sometimes two litres a day just to test the quality," explained Liu, now 68.

Doctors say he has been left with a condition called rhinophyma, caused by the constant expansion of blood vessels in his nose - now nearly four inches long and two inches wide.
