Ready teddies

A bear who was shot when he mauled a deranged intruder in his zoo enclosure has become a father after making a miracle recovery.

Brown bear Finn has become a dad to these cute cubs Urs and Berna, who made their first public appearance at Switzerland's Bern Zoo this week with mum Bjoerk.

Mum was clearly keeping a close eye on the three-month-old youngsters and wouldn't leave their side as they got their first glimpse of human fans.

Dad Finn was shot by police marksmen in November when he attacked an intruder who'd jumped into his enclosure.

"Bjoerk would have been heavily pregnant then which might go some way to explain why he responded so aggressively to the intrusion," said one keeper.
