Smart Move
Smart car owners are used to the odd crack about their lack of performance
leaving people in stitches.
But this bunch of knits from Zurich, Switzerland, certainly couldn't be accused
of trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.
Designers persuaded 20 grannies to spend two months knitting nearly 70lbs of
wool into a cosy for a Smart car that turns it into a giant roller skate.
The project was aimed at bringing young designers into contact with older
people with craft skills, say creators the Swiss Senior Design Factory.
Now they're contacted Guinness world record officials to make a claim for the
world's biggest hand-knitted car cover.
