Barbie Skater Says Her Beauty Is All Natural

Barbie Skater Says Her Beauty Is All Natural

The Romanian skater accused of looking like a human Barbie doll is facing her critics by saying her resemblance to the toy favoured by girls the world over is all natural beauty.

Sabrina Fabian, 16, this week photographed herself early in the morning with no make-up to counter critics who said that her good looks were only achieved through make up.

She begins her ritual of beauty every day with some foundation cream, a little eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. Then she retouches her eyebrows with a special pen, then she adds a little blush and lipstick.

Afterwards, she looks just like Barbie - and turns the heads of every 'Ken' on the street, the famous toy-boyfriend of the Mattel doll.

Her biggest fan though remains her mum, who has supported her throughout her career and says her daughter "is even more beautiful on the inside".

It also helps that she has a mane of blonde hair almost three feet long.

"In our family, long hair is a tradition that lasted for several generations and there is no chance that this tradition will be changing any time soon," she said.

It was not only her beauty that made Sabrina famous in Romania, but also her athletic performance. She became a world champion last year in roller skating.

"In Bucharest I have no place to train except for malls. I want to perform in this sport. Currently, although I only 16, I am coaching small groups of children and that makes me very happy," Sabrina said, confirming that after high school she wants to move with her parents to Sweden to improve her skills.
