Teens Facebook Worry That She Had The Wrong Boyfriend Caused Her Death

A 17-year-old girl killed in Romania told pals she feared she had fallen for "the wrong person" hours before her lover killed her in a jealous rage after seeing the post on social media.

Mihaela Steflea posted the message on her Facebook page to express her feelings shortly before that "wrong man" - Costel Tiripan - took her life.

"I have a bad habit of falling in love with the wrong person," Mihaela wrote, shortly before she was murdered.

Police suspect the young woman’s post on the social networking website led 29-year-old Tiripan to believe that she was about to dump him, and he became convinced she was seeing someone else.

So after luring her to a remote beauty spot on the pretext of having a picnic and talking about their problems, he killed her. Families and friends of both victim and killer said they are "torn apart" by what occurred.

"All the people who know you are shocked by this news. Mihaela, we will always spill tears for you. I am speechless, it is something extremely painful, especially since you’re so young and you left us. God forgive your killer. Rest in peace," wrote one of her friends on her Facebook timeline.

The teenage girl from the city of Constanta on the Black Sea was found dead on the banks of the Danube after being stabbed "in a frenzy" and having her throat cut by her lover. He then committed suicide after murdering her.

"She was faithful, but he was crazy and thought she was seeing someone else," said a pal to local TV.
