Trucker Says Stress Of Speeding Ticket Made His Teeth Fall Out

A Bulgarian trucker fined for speeding took traffic cops to court and won after he proved his ageing truck could not do more than 53 mph.

But driver Minko Baev, 30, from the city Shumenm, in eastern Bulgaria, claimed the stress of fighting the traffic police after the incident last year was so great, that his teeth had all fallen out.

He is now demanding they compensate him with a new set of teeth.

It took the court a year-and-a-half to acquit him after he was fined 200 GBP for doing 81mph in a 40mph speed zone.

Baev said he suffered from stress and hypertension from the charges which caused all of his teeth to fall out and added: "I am feeding my family with this truck, so I cannot afford to break the traffic rules and lose my driver's license.

"You could see on the police tape that the truck barely climbed the hill, it was really a miscarriage of justice. The court agreed, but now I need them to put it right and replace my lost teeth."
