Drug Takers Get A Real Life High

Drug Takers Get A Real Life High

Two brothers who got high at a party in Russia decided to keep their elevated state going, by clambering to the top of their apartment building by way of the outside balconies.

Artem Hubovi, 29, and his brother Nikita, 27, staged an all-night rave up in their flat in Nizhny Tagil, a city in western Russia, when Artem decided to ask a neighbour for a cigarette.

But instead of climbing the interior staircase he decided to become Spiderman - clambering up the balconies on the outside of the building from the third to the ninth floor.

Arkady Reza, a tenant on the sixth floor, said: "You wont believe this, but I was actually watching a DVD of the Spiderman movie on my TV when I suddenly saw this guy climb on to my balcony and climb off it to the one above.

"I called for my wife to tell her what had happened and she said I had drunk too much. It was quite a feat. And he was very unsteady, like he was high on something. I rang the police afterwards because I thought he would hurt himself."

Police arrived at the scene shortly afterwards to witness Nikita climbing after his brother. A spokesman said: "The second brother was also high but not as far gone as the older one. He went after him to try to persuade him to climb down."

Nikita managed to talk his brother into returning to their flat. They reached the ninth floor and clambered through the window of an apartment, where police were waiting.

Nikita was let off with a warning but Artem was charged with intoxication in a public place. He later told local media: "It seemed such a good idea at the time. I was floating on a cloud and I just wanted to keep the high alive.

"With hindsight, I could have killed myself."
