Dicing with death is the only way this Indian couple can save to fund their children through medical school.
Every week the pair from Hyderabad city in eastern India travel to various states to showcase their unique stunt performances.
Brahma Patel, 39, and her husband Balashankar, 43, have been at it for more than a decade. She is the object, and her husband is the executioner.
And despite the apparent violence they even seem to enjoy it. "We love doing these stunts," says Balashankar.
Sometimes, he uses a sword to cut a coconut placed on his wife's throat. Other times he smashes ice slabs placed on his wife's body, or breaks rectangular bricks stuck to her chest.
"We pick up whatever cash people leave after the show," says Bramha, who, along with her husband, has also acted as body doubles for noted 'Bollywood' film stars in India's southern Andhra Pradesh state.
Their children, Jogendra, a boy, and Tulsi, a girl, are proud of their parents. Both want to be doctors, and earn enough to let their parents go on a world tour.
"Then they should enjoy their time and not do stunts. They should enjoy the world, especially the Eiffel Tower in France and Big Ben in London," says Tulsi.
