An apparent good Samaritan who sat by a drunken girl after she was finding it difficult to stand up turned into a pervert after she passed on the floor and he started molesting her.
And the images which were snapped by somebody sitting on a bench opposite on a mobile phone has sparked heated debate on local social media not only because of the perverted man, but because the person taking the photos did not do anything to stop what was happening.
The unnamed young girl had been staggering down the road in the city of Nanyang in central China’s Hubei province and was clearly finding it difficult to stay on her feet.
According to the person who uploaded the photos, when she passed by the man, who has also not been identified, he had suggested she sit down for a second and he had put his arm round to steady her and offered her a drink of beer.
After a few sips, she had simply toppled to the side and fallen asleep on the floor. But instead of helping her, the man had taken off the girl’s underwear and started fondling her private parts.
And even when he got a phone call, he did not stop, and carried on fondling the unconscious woman with his free hand while he talked on the phone with the other.
The images have been reposted thousands of times on Chinese social media sites calling on people to identify the pervert and the young woman, and also demanding that the person who took the images apologised to her for failing to come to her rescue.
A small number however also condemned the woman herself for drinking too much and putting herself at risk.
