Is the world's strongest boy suffering from burnout at the age of nine?
That is the question being raised by these snaps of the child named as the world's strongest boy showing him looking flabby and without the clearly defined muscles of a few months ago.
Giuliano Stroe, age 9, was seen at the start of the year with rippling muscles and bulging arms, but now Facebook users say it is all gone after looking at the more recent pictures. Many have even accused the father of using Photoshop to alter the original pictures.
One social media user wrote: "It is impossible for so much muscle to disappear so fast, I think the only exercise that was carried out was on a computer using Photoshop."
The allegations were picked up by hundreds of others debating whether the original pictures had been real or Photoshopped.
However another reason could be that the father of the two boys, Iulian Stroe, 35, has had trouble training the youngster ever since an incident recently in which a horse fell on the dad at a show. Iulian had been showing people how strong the horse was when it accidentally fell over and damaged his leg. Even now weeks later it still causes him pain making it difficult to continue to work the boys through the difficult physical regime.
Giuliano, aged nine, and his seven-year-old brother Claudiu hit the headlines as they trained to be the world's strongest boys in a family of bodybuilders. They had recently moved back to Bucharest, the capital of Romania, after struggling to find the fame and fortune while living in Florence, Italy, and had reportedly been making plans to head to the UK before the accident happened with the horse.
The tiny muscle 'men' have been performing acrobatic feats and lifting weights since they were toddlers. Giuliano has already broken two world records for 90-degree vertical push-ups and another holding on to a pole like a human flag. Claudiu followed suit and he is already performing handstand push-ups on a bar and learning the same terrifying flag trick.
Both boys routinely lift 4kg dumbbells and heavy weights to work on their biceps and build up their chest muscles.
But whether the alleged break in training is a sign that their weightlifting days are over is something that their father at least rejects.
He said: "He has just been putting on a little weight in preparation for the changes that will happen in his body as he moves into his teenage years. It is a healthy sign and shows that he has good DNA."
