Come All Ye Faithful Message Of Cult Leader

Come All Ye Faithful Message Of Cult Leader

A religious cult leader who told female students they could only reach a spiritual high if they had sex with him has been seized by police in southern China.

Self-styled god Wu Mouheng from China's Guangdong province claimed he was so holy that his healthy sperm could cleanse his female disciples spirits, and help them reach Buddhist enlightenment.

Male followers were told they could only reach the same state by paying him in gold.

Police in Guangdong arrested Wu and 79 other cult leaders and seized pamphlets and financial records.

"There are charges of destroying public order, fraud, and rape. There are 21 people who remain in police custody." said police official Hu Hou.

Wu, 47, is believed to have bedded hundreds of vulnerable girls and has fathered numerous children.

He was found guilty of sexual assault in 1991 and fraud 14 years ago, and then decided to reinvent himself as a God to avoid further trouble with the law.

"Despite his activities he describes himself as a 'descendent of Buddha' and says his ancestor would be proud of his work," said one investigator.

Wu claims to be able to predict the future and is said to have fleeced thousands of individuals and businesses who paid for his advice.

Officer Hu added: "He says he predicted the Sichuan and Japanese earthquakes. But you don't need to be a seer to see where his future is heading."
