Political Gun Fight Staged By Russian Child Models

Political Gun Fight Staged By Russian Child Models

A sick fashion show in Russia has been condemned after the 10-year-old models staged a bizarre political gun battle on the catwalk in the Russian capital Moscow.

All the models - representing different countries - were armed with fake handguns and took pot shots at the audience in the show for Russian designer Slava Zaitsev.

But the show caused outrage when the youngster supposed to be representing the Ukraine took shots at the models representing Russia and the USA before apparently 'shooting' herself in the head.

"It was truly shocking to see girls that young playing with guns at all, but to stage a suicide was outrageous," said one critic in the audience.

The show - at the Chapeau 2014 hat exhibition - seems to have been designed to show the Ukraine as an aggressor in its border conflict with Russia.

In a video of the event, some fashion fans can be heard laughing at runway show, which ends with an angel collecting all the guns.

But commentator Eva Bodrova said: "Even if you ignore the political message, it is just appalling to show a young girl pretending to kill herself."

"What kind of signal does that send out to young fashion fans. This was supposed to be a fashion show and politics have no place on the catwalk." she added.
