Ski lift operator sees business go downhill
Bad weather has driven the debt-stricken St. Urban ski lift company in Carinthia’s Feldkirchen district out of business.
The firm entered bankruptcy proceedings yesterday (Thurs), according to the Credit Protection Agency of 1870 (KSV).
It said the business had net debt of 900,000 Euros, with gross debt of 3.5 million Euros and assets of 2.6 million Euros. The bankruptcy affects 25 creditors.
KSV added that a period of bad weather closed the lifts over Christmas and higher costs in getting them restarted had driven the company to bankruptcy.
