Austria’s first private telephone directory assistance hotline Alles Auskunft – 11 88 99 has gone bust.
The Federal Creditors’ Protection Association (KSV 1870) announced today (Tues) judges at Vienna’s Commercial Court started dealing with the case this morning following a report by a creditor.
The hotline was founded by real estate businessman Cevdet Caner in 2000.
Details about the amount of debts and number of affected creditors have not yet been made public.
KSV 1870 announced a few weeks ago it expected the number of business bankruptcies to shrink over the next few months compared year on year, while the rise in private bankruptcies was predicted to slow down.
The number of business bankruptcies in Austria declined by 3.6 per cent year on year to 1,639 during the first quarter of this year, while the number of private bankruptcies increased by 6.4 per cent to 2,586 in the same period.
