Farmer survives 130-metre fall

A farmer survived after his car plunged 130 metres down a cliff on Saturday.

Police in Windhaag, Upper Austria, said today (Mon) the 43-year-old’s van skidded off the road and tumbled down a cliff before finally stopping as it smashed into a tree.

The man – who was on his way home from work in a forest – was hospitalised at the AKH Linz clinic with severe facial injuries.

Police are investigating.
