Taxi passenger dead after smash on snowy road

A 46-year-old who suffered severe head injuries as a taxi swerved off a snow-covered road in Vorarlberg died last night, doctors at LKH Feldkirch clinic said today (Weds).
The man was hospitalised with serious injuries after the car flipped over after ramming into an embankment before being thrown back onto the road in the accident on Monday night.
The 61-year-old driver was unhurt.
Police in Lech am Arlberg said the difficult conditions caused by snow and mud on the road were to blame for the crash, adding that neither man had been wearing a seatbelt.
