German woman killed in sledging accident

A 61-year-old German woman was killed when she lost control of a sledge and crashed head-first into a tree.
The woman from Dillingen, Germany, had been on a plastic sledge without brakes or steering when she veered off a ski piste and ploughed into the tree at Hintersee in Salzburg’s Flachgau.
She was taken to a local hospital but died yesterday (Sun) from head injuries.
