Austrian diplomat in Croatia accused of wife beating
An Austrian diplomat in Croatia is suspected of having beaten up his French wife.
Croatian weekly Globus claims Sylvie Madeleine told police in capital Zagreb that her husband, Austrian diplomat Michael Kainz, had beaten her in front of their three kids.
The paper added that the woman had sought medical treatment at Rebro hospital in Zagreb, online newspaper Croatian Times reports.
It has to be seen whether the alleged incidence will have any consequences considering the fact that Kainz enjoys diplomatic immunity.
