Two for one offer at Albertina for Valentines Day

What better place to spend Valentines Day then wandering among a collection of paintings from artists Eric Fischl, exploring sexuality, relationships and domestic life.

Opening at the Albertina on 13 February, the exhibition is also offering a two for one discount day on Friday 14 February for visitors who print off a voucher from the link below and present it at the ticket office on the day.

US artist Fischl became an established name on the New York art scene in the 1970s and 1980s and was one of the first artists there to explore the undercurrents of American suburban life in his paintings.

His artworks are often sexually charged and depict couples or friends in various degrees of intimacy but usually in unremarkable domestic settings. His 'Friends, Lovers and other Constellations' exhibition at the Albertina runs until the 18 May 2014.

Separately to the Valentine Day offer for the Fischl exhibition, the gallery are also inviting visitors to attend a free guide around the museum to view works of art about love from different eras. The tour is free and works on a first come first served basis. Interested visitors should meet on Friday 14 February at 15:00 or 16:30 in the Kassenhalle in the museum.

Get a voucher for the two for one admission to the Fischl exhibition here: http://albertinanews.at/include/ctr2.php?p=za1efd6618ea173299326dd9e20c047b88decee095c6f219de90dd86aa3bb7135
