A leader of the Islamist political group the Muslim Brotherhood has refuted claims that they are moving their headquarters from London to Graz in Austria.
The announcement comes after rumours had appeared in Egyptian and British media that they were looking to move their location after an investigation into their organisation by the British secret service.
The political group hit the headlines in the past year after it fought against Egyptian authorities following the ousting of their leader Mohammed Morsi last July. The Muslim Brotherhood is now seen as a terrorist group by both Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
They had reportedly set up their international HQ in northwest London above a kebab shop but after British Prime Minister David Cameron launched an investigation into them on 1 April, it was reported that they were group is due to move their offices to Graz in an attempt to avoid the inquiry into their work.
About the claims, Ibrahim Munir, the secretary-general of the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood said: "I cannot imagine or accept to leave Britain for any other country. We do not need to leave Britain because we have not committed a crime or violated the law."
Previous leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood have previously spent time in Graz including Ayman Aly, formerly a top adviser to Morsi.
