The fact that there were CCTV cameras in place or the fact that a train packed with passengers had pulled into the station didn't seem to bother this couple caught having sex in public at an underground train station in the Austrian capital Vienna, according to local paper Heute.
Passenger Vera Neuwirth, 23, said: "Everyone was just sitting around on the tube with nobody paying any particular attention to anybody else when it pulled into the Neue Donau train station, and a young man with some friends noticed them first – and shouted to his friends look at that. A few seconds everybody else of course was billowing out the window, and there were various exclamations from amusement through to shock.
"My pal pulled out her camera and shot a short video but there are several others that were also taking out their cameras. She had really taken off everything she was wearing on her lower half and he had lowered his jeans down and they were really going for it completely oblivious to what was going on around them. Because of the hour I guess they were probably drunk, I can't imagine that anybody sober would do anything like that in the middle of the Austrian capital normally."
Austrian officials confirmed that they working with underground officials to try and track down the pair who not only faced a fine, but also risked being jailed for up to 6 months.
An underground official said: "We are studying the footage available, if we fail to find them using normal enquiries then we might well decide to appeal to the public for information."
Any images that the underground officials have were so far not released, with only footage shot by people on the underground train as it pulled into the station available.
