What's on at the Burgkino this weekend?

The Burgkino, located at Opernring 19 in Vienna, will have the following films – all shown in their original English versions – on offer this weekend:
BRÜNO is the latest controversial comedy by Sacha Baron Cohen and Larry Charles, the duo behind 2006 blockbuster "Borat". Their new movie is based on a character that was created for the "Da Ali G. Show" aired from 2000 on UK’s Channel 4. Brüno is a gay fashion reporter from Austria who realises he will need to emigrate to America to become a star. After arriving in Hollywood, he hires an agent, undergoes anal bleaching and tries to seduce former US presidential candidate Ron Paul. The film was banned by Ukrainian watchdogs for being "immoral", but fans all over the world laugh about "Brünoisms" like "Look at the evil people in the world: Saddam Hussein, Hitler, Stalin. What do they all have in common? Moustaches!"
PUBLIC ENEMIES has been on at the Burgkino since last week. The Michael Mann-directed film is set in the time of the Great Depression and tells the true story of infamous criminal John Dillinger, portrayed by Johnny Depp.
COCO BEFORE CHANEL (COCO AVANT CHANEL) is a biopic on legendary French fashion designer Coco Chanel. The Burgkino screens the movie, starring Audrey Tautou in its original French version, with English subtitles.
THE THIRD MAN, which tells the story of a man going missing in the twilight circles of post-WWII Vienna, is a regular on the Burgkino’s playbill. The 1949 movie is a classic not only for its thrilling story but also for its defining score, which is based on the zither playing of Anton Karas. The Vienna-born musician was reluctant about director Carol Reed’s offer to him to contribute to the soundtrack at first but changed his mind after moving to London to live with Reed for a while. Karas earned the considerable salary of 30 pounds a week, plus 20 pounds in pocket money and expenses.
