Hollywood film producers are looking for extras for scenes in a new action movie starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz to be shot in Salzburg later this month.
The casting for the roles – including passersby, police officers and even FBI agents – to be featured in "Knight and Day" will take place on 10 and 11 November between 5pm and 9pm at the Salzburg Congress Centre (Kongresshaus).
Shooting will take place in the city centre of Salzburg between 19 and 24 November and extras will be paid 30 Euros a day, Austrocast spokesman Harald Reich announced today (Thurs).
Salzburg tourism bosses have been left disappointed though after they had hoped for a massive tourism boost as the 200-member crew was initially expected to stay in the city’s hotels for three weeks. But it has now been revealed that they will be around for less than a week.
But city officials have refused to cut a 300,000-Euro subsidy they are giving the 20th Century Fox project.
More information on the casting can be obtained at www.austrocast.at or via phone under +43 1 / 604 38 71.
