Ticket holders for the cancelled "Ben Hur" show at Vienna’s Stadthalle this month have been told they may not get their money back after organisers went bankrupt.
Organisers ART Concerts said on its homepage that refunds are not possible at this time and are still "under discussion."
People who bought tickets for the cancelled Ben Hur shows in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, have been told there is no chance of refunds before a bankruptcy administrator is appointed and little chance afterwards because of the organiser’s "lack of liquidity."
Ticket holders have been advised to wait for substitute tickets for other shows to be offered by the successor to the bankrupt organiser.
Planning for other substitute shows on 26 and 27 May is underway, and the newspaper Österreich has reported that people who bought tickets for Ben Hur at the Stadthalle or at Wien Ticket will get their money back.
Refunds for people who bought tickets elsewhere are uncertain.
