Austrian unknown named world's best-dressed

A virtually unknown Austrian has beaten supermodels, pop stars and actresses to be named best-dressed woman in the world.

Tatler magazine, described by many as a "fashion bible", said Caroline Sieber – daughter of a Vienna-based businessman – had beaten trend setters such as Carla Bruni and Mick Jagger’s model daughter Georgia May to come top of its annual best-dressed list.

The 27-year-old, who moved to London after university, works as a stylist to the stars at fashion house Chanel’s base in the British capital.

Russian model Natalia Vodianova came second, with Jagger in third. Bruni, wife of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, was sixth.
