Elton John double strike in June

Elton John is set to give two open air concerts in Austria this summer.

It was announced today (Fri) that the "Rocket Man" will perform at the Urfahraner Market area in Linz, Upper Austria, on 19 June before hitting the stage at the Schwarzl Lake venue near Graz, Styria, one day later.

Tickets for both events are on sale as of now at www.oeticket.com

The gigs will be the 62-year-old singer’s first return to Austria after a concert at Vienna’s Stadthalle in 2008.

Elton John has been in the music business since the 1970s and is one of the most successful singers of all time.

His best known song is probably the 1997 version of "Candle in the Wind" which he performed at the funeral ceremony for his close friend Lady Diana, Princess of Wales. With around 37 million sold copies, the ballad became the most successful song in history.
