Palfrader and Scheuba to get the dirty job done at Volkstheater

An acclaimed cabaret stage show featuring TV star Robert Palfrader will be performed at the Volkstheater Vienna this Saturday.

"Männer furs Grobe" (Men for Dirty Jobs) by Florian Scheuba, which features Scheuba and Palfrader on stage, went on several sold-out tours throughout the country after premiering in 2008.

Critics hailed the satirical stage show as a "rare sophisticated delight".

Scheuba is a former member of "Die Hektiker", Austria’s most successful comedy group, while Palfrader is currently starring at the Volkstheater in a new version of Franz Molnar’s play "Liliom".

Palfrader is one of Austria’s most popular TV comedy personalities since acting as "Emperor Robert Heinrich I" in ORF late night show "Wir sind Kaiser" (We are Emperor) which ended last week after four seasons.

The "Männer furs Grobe" tour continues next month with a performance in Klosterneuburg on 27 April.

See www.maennerfuersgrobe.at for further dates, and visit www.volkstheater.at or call +43 1 521 11-400 to buy tickets for the Volkstheater performance on 20 March.
