Russian Painter Vitali Komarov will be holding an art exhibition and auctioning off an exclusive painting at the International Christian School of Vienna later this month.
This month the artist will also be putting on a special workshop for the school’s pupils, and some students of other international schools in the city. The event will launch celebrations to mark the school’s 25th anniversary year.
Money raised from the auction of the painting "Over the Rooftops of Vienna", which will take place alongside an exhibition of Vitali Komarov’s work on Thursday 24 February 2011, will go towards the school’s art education programme.
The evening is open to all members of the public, and bids for the auction can also be made in advance by sending an e-mail to events@icsv.at.
The event will begin at 18:00 with light refreshments and a reception, before the auction of "Over the Rooftops of Vienna" begins at 18:45.
The evening will provide a great opportunity to get to know the artist himself, bid on his unique cityscape painting of the Austrian capital, and have the chance to purchase some of his other pieces too.
