Gourmet evenings at Linsberg Asia
Less than an hour away from Vienna is the Linsberg Asia - four star hotel, spa and culinary hotspot. For several years now the Linsberg restaurant has been producing award-winning food, receiving the ultimate accolade in the most recent Gault Millau when its lamb was described simply as melt in the mouth.
The restaurant is now celebrating its last four years of gastronomy in an event entitled the "Best of Linsberg". Head chef Mehmet Selimaj has put together a twelve course menu entitled "Culinary time travel" in order to showcase some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes all in one evening, designed to impress even the most seasoned gourmet. The journey begins on 8 March 2012 with further evenings in April, May and June.
The Linsberg experience will culminate on 25 August with the "Gourmet-indulgence journey", when the entire four star hotel will be transformed into a culinary temple. Diners will get an insight into the cooking styles of distant countries with food stations scattered around the hotel showcasing regional haut cuisine with Asian specialities taking centre stage.
The culinary programme will be accompanied by first class wine, a traditional Asian tea ceremony, karate acts, fireworks and atmospheric music and costs 64 Euros per person.
The 12 course "Kulinarische Zeitreise 2008-2011" evenings will take place on the following days:
