The Loisium Wine and Spa Resort in Langenlois has been named as one of the 25 trendiest hotels in Europe. The Austrian holiday destination, received the accolade in "Trip Advisors" Traveller Choice Awards for 2012.

Only a few days ago the online travel portal, TripAdvisor, announced the Loisium Resort as having beaten some 270,000 competitors to end up on their list of the trendiest hotels in Europe. The Travellers’ Choice Award is deemed particular important in the industry as it is based on millions of international reviews and is based on the opinion of the individual traveller.

The Loisium Wine & Spa Resort is located in one of the best wine regions of Lower Austria between the growing regions of Wachau, Kremstal and Wagram. The resort offers tours of the 900 year old cellars at the Loisium Wine World as well as a Vineyard Restaurant serving regional food and wine.

The resort in Lagenlois came out top on account of its unique position in the vineyards of the region and the consistently high quality that is on offer at the hotel. As well as the contemporary architecture from Steven Holl, the hotel was also praised for the first-class cuisine, incomparable selection of top quality wines and spa facilities.

"This award is a particular pleasure for us as it confirms to us that the care and love with which we strive to satisfy our guests every day, is actually noted. To consistently offer relaxation and indulgence at the highest level is a challenge which we undertake with pleasure and commitment," said managing director of the hotel Susanne Kraus-Winkler.

"TripAdvisor is proud to announce for the tenth time, through the help of millions of travellers, the winning hotels of the Travellers Choice Awards," said President of TripAdvisor for business. From the best bargains to the best luxury hotels, the winners have excelled through remarkable service, performance and quality," she explained.
