Vienna to host 10th Blues Spring festival

Vienna to host tenth Blues Spring festival

Vienna is hosting the tenth Vienna Blues Spring this year, welcoming musicians from around the world to take part in the longest blues festival in the world.

Around 300 musicians are playing in over forty concerts taking place in Vienna for six weeks between 20 March and 30 April

Four main venues are hosting the 40 events - Reigen in the 14th, Theater Akzent in the 4th, Haus der Musik in the 1st, and Mozarthaus Vienna in the 1st.

The concert from popular Austrian blues artist Hermann Posch has already sold out but tickets for other events are still available to buy at www.viennabluesspring.org. Other artists on the programme include Carvin Jones, the man thought by some as the successor to Jimi Hendrix, and Khalif Wailin Walter with his New Orleans-style vocals.

A festival pass can be bought from Reigen either online or in person at the price of 180 Euros which covers entry into all festival events taking place at Reigen and 50% off gigs at the other three venues.

A pass to six concerts of the buyer's choice can also be bought at the price of 90 Euros.
