Roddick teaches Melzer lesson number ten

Austrian number one tennis player Jürgen Melzer failed to beat US star Andy Roddick for the tenth time in as many matches today (Thurs).

The 28-year-old Lower Austrian crashed out in the third round of the 3.645-million-dollar ATP tournament in Indian Wells, USA, against former number one in the world Roddick by 6-7 (5-7), 4-6.

Melzer raised eyebrows as he beat Argentine star David Nalbandian in the second round. Nalbandian had sent Austrian Stefan Koubek packing in the tournament’s first round, while Austrian Daniel Köllerer lost against Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero in the second round.
