Free Austria kids jerseys up for grabs in Salzburg

Puma will provide 1,000 kids and teens with free Austrian national team jerseys, it has been revealed.

The German fashion and sports company said today (Thurs) that 1,000 youngsters showing a ticket for next Tuesday’s (7 September) Euro2012 qualifier between Austria and Kazakhstan could claim an original Austria jersey worth around 50 Euros free of charge at the Puma Concept Store at Salzburg’s Europapark shopping centre.

Meanwhile, Austria manager Dietmar Constantini has warned of underestimating the teams of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan who his side will play on 7 September and 8 October, respectively.

The Austrian squad is currently preparing in Flachau, Salzburg, for Tuesday’s match to be played in Salzburg. The game against Azerbaijan will take place in Vienna. State-owned broadcaster ORF will show both matches live.

Austria will also face Belgium, Turkey and Germany in their group when qualification play continues later this year and next year.

Poland and Ukraine will co-host the 2012 event, which will follow the 2008 European Championship that took place in Austria and Switzerland.
