Salzburg football player Kevin Kampl has spoken of his desire to one day play in the English Premier League as part of the Arsenal team.
Slovenian Kampl, 23, enjoys the London team's style of football and says he dreams of what it would be like to play under Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium in the capital.
"Sometimes when I watch their games, I close my eyes and dream of how it would be if I was there playing for them," he said. "This certainly is a dream and I hope that one day it will come true for me which is why I’m always giving my all during training sessions,"
He also cited England’s charm and the uniqueness of London as pull factors.
A rising star in European football, Kampl began his career as part of German side Bayer Leverkusen. Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg paid 3.5 million Euros for Kampl, who was last year nominated as best player of the Austrian Bundesliga league.
Kampl is not alone in his desire to play for a side in the UK. Austrian captain Marc Janko recently said he wants to play for Glasgow side Celtic, even admitting he would "walk to Glasgow from Turkey", where he is playing now, if that's what it would take to get signed up.
