Red Bull Salzburg thrash Bayern Munich 3-0

Red Bull Salzburg in talks with Liverpool over sale of Berisha

Red Bull Salzburg are in talks with Liverpool over the sale of 20-year-old player Valon Berisha.

Norwegian Berisha has been with the Austrian side since July 2012 but has been scouted by Liverpool in the most recent season including at the league match between the two sides last month.

Scouts from Anfield were also watching Berisha in the recent match against top team Bayern Munich when they got smashed by the Austrian side 3-0.

Berisha has previously had trials at Chelsea but rejected a move to Arsenal and Manchester United when he was younger choosing instead to stay in Norway. He has earned nine caps for the Norwegian national team and is estimated to be worth just over 3 million Euros.

Now it's up to global sports director Gerard Houllier, once the boss at Liverpool FC, to decide on what move to make over the possible sale of Berisha.
