Lewis Hamilton admits he knows nothing about Red Bull track

Racer Lewis Hamilton has resorted to training on a simulator ahead of the upcoming competition at Austria's Red Bull Ring.

Hamilton has said that he does not know anything about the track but is preparing so he is up to speed ahead of the race on 20-22 June.

"I don’t know which way Turn One goes if I am honest but I will find out before I get there. Nico [Rosberg] has driven it before in Formula BMW, I would have thought. But I will be on it for the next one, doing my best," he said.

Hamilton, who is 20 points behind his team mate and rival Rosberg, hopes to come back after having to retire from two recent races due to problems with his car's breaking system, which his mechanical team are now working hard at fixing.

"I just want to get ready for the next race. I have a lot of training planned and I am in the simulator," he said.

"Years and years ago when I was probably 13, I played it on a computer game, but once I get on the simulator, I will learn quickly."

This year's F1 Grand Prix is the first time in nearly ten years it has been hosted in Austria. The last time Formula 1 was featured in the A1-Ring, otherwise known as the Red Bull Ring, was in 2003, when it had been an annual event since 1997. Before that the Austrian Grand Prix had been not been put on for nearly a decade.

Since Red Bull bought the circuit in 2004, company owner Dietrich Mateschitz pushed to try and bring F1 back to Austria, succeeding when they signed a deal last year.
