This is the moment when a pair of pals fell out of a window after they decided to sit on a metal grill that was supposed to stop people toppling out. But the so-called safety bar, that was not designed to be sat on, gave way, and pitched the pair backwards sending them plummeting to the courtyard below. The duo were staying at the Tourist Hotel in the Russian capital Moscow when they fell forty feet to the courtyard below, hitting the ground so hard they actually bounced and sustaining serious injuries in the process. Thomas Lomok, 24, and his friend, Nicanor Yefremov, 27, were seen lying unconscious on the ground and were later raced to hospital with head and internal injuries by an ambulance that arrived minutes after they fell. Although they were seriously hurt at the time, the pair are now expected to make a full recovery. CCTV footage showed how around 20 people gathered in a matter of minutes and called the police and the ambulance, and attempted to give first aid waiting for medics. A police spokesman said: "They were chilling out but by sitting on a widow in a very dangerous way. Luckily they will recover."
