Former Playboy model Izabela Lukomska-Pyzalska has become director of
Polish football club Warta Poznan but she's warned the players not to expect a
soft touch.
In her acceptance speech she said footballers had become too soft and pledged:
"I will run this place with an iron fist".
Izabela Lukomska-Pyzalska, who has worked as a model for men’s magazines such
as Playboy and CKM, says she would like to restore the club to the top-flight Ektraklasa,
which it has not played matches in since the mid-1990s.
"I want the club to shine again. I believe that the team will play
impressively and will attract more fans to the stadium," Lukomska-Pyzalska
said.
"I used to work in a building company, which I think was also operated as
football clubs should be and that means ruling with an iron fist. I will make
sure that there is order and discipline at the club," promised the former
model.
She takes over at a time when Warta Poznan FC is currently in danger of being
relegated from the "first division", which, in fact, is the second
division under the Ektraklasa premier league in Poland.
