World record bosses have been bowled over by the world's biggest ever bowl of porridge - all 1,906 lbs of it.
The dish - created in Tula, Russia and recognised by the World Records Academy - dwarfs the current Guinness record of 1,388 lbs awarded to Scottish holders in Cupar.
The huge pot - big enough to hold six men - dangled from a 20ft tripod while burly chefs using rowing oars to stir the brew of oats, water, salt and sugar for most of the day.
"It was an event to celebrate the 865th anniversary of our town producing 865 kilos of porridge," explained local cereals producer Nikolai Kostylev, who provided the oats for the stunt.
"It must have been tasty because everyone in the town queued for a bowlful and it disappeared in just four hours," he added.
* Record Winning Recipe:

Add buckets of jam, honey and butter to taste.
