Political Cat Flight

A group of political fat cats were left upstaged on a live Newsnight-style show in Serbia - when a real life moggie ran through the studio.

The black puss sprinted across the studio at Channel B29 in Belgrade while guests were discussing the country's financial crisis.

Political talkshow host Olja Beckovic was left temporarily lost for words before stammering: "Er...we..look...a cat."

A spokesman for the channel said: "We don't know how it got in or where it came from. But it wasn't a stunt by us."

"The cat clearly wasn't very impressed by the guests because she couldn't wait to get off," said one studio viewer to local media.
