Girls in Europe's poorest country - Moldova - have been taking to the internet offering to sell their virginity to men for anything between 400 and 35,000 GBP.
"I am a beautiful virgin, aged 24. I want to sell my virginity to a tender man for an amount between 50,000 and 70,000 euros," said one ad from earlier this month.
Last year another female posted an advert under the headline 'Sell my virginity', stating: "I am a 17-year-old and I want a relationship with someone affectionate. Please be serious. Write me an e-mail. The price asked is 5,000 euros."
Another girl posted an ad with the description: "I am the dream of every man! Hello! I am looking for a nice mannered and neat gentleman with good sense of humour to become the man of my life! For pictures and details about me you can use my messenger id: alexandra_harra_webshow."
The ad was posted on March 14, 2014 and the price: 500 EUR (410 GBP).
Predatory businessmen from eastern Europe are also on Moldovan websites seeking young women.
One man, claiming to be a Romanian trader, wrote this month: "Romanian businessman, 45, seeking supple student girls.
"On May 1 and 2 I am in Chisinau. I am only looking for supple students for spending time in a mutually beneficial way! Only for real students, no "professional girls". So look in the mirror and ask yourself honestly: Do I have a sense of humour? Do I want to meet a true gentleman?"
Prostitution is strictly prohibited in Moldova, yet the ad websites are full of similar posts.
