Sex scandal in Vienna children homes: kids were also drug-couriers

The children abused in Viennese children’s homes were also rented out as drug-couriers.

This week allegations of child abuse in 12 Viennese children’s homes made headlines.

Children had, among other things, been forced to participate in sex parties and to work as sex-workers in secret brothels often serving rich, elderly men.

One of the hubs of the perverted incidents was the children’s home "August Aichhorn" in a posh Viennese district.

D. (now 28), one of the victims who had to clean in the private sex clubs said: "There were even rich businessmen among the guests." The operator of the brothels was a close friend of the headmaster of the "August Aichhorn" home.

This friend chose which kids to bring to his clubs. D., then a 14 year old institutionalised child wanted to quit the sex work and was immediately offered a new job by the headmaster. D. said: "We went to the UN headquarters where we got empty backpacks and were then taken to a restaurant by the Danube River. There the backpacks were filled and we had to deliver them to certain addresses. We got up to 30 GBP for it."

Soon it became clear to D. that he was transporting marijuana, LSD and pills all over town. Viennese state attorneys are investigating the case questioning witnesses and collecting evidence.
