Flea market for parents in Vienna

A flea market selling second hand items for babies is being held in Vienna at the end of March to provide handy items for parents at discount prices and to raise money for charity.

Organised by the not-for-profit Vienna Babies Club, the market takes place twice a year and gives parents a chance to snap up gently-used toys, books, clothes, equipment, furniture for babies at a cheaper price than normal.

The next VBC Flea Market will take place on 30 March, 2014 from 9:00 to 13:00, at the Don Bosco Haus - St. Veit gasse 25, 1130 Vienna.

A coffee corner will also have snacks on sale, with all the proceeds going to charity.
"The proceeds of our coffee/cake corner from the spring Flea Market will be going a charity for children in need. A new charity is chosen by the Vienna Babies Club members each time we have the market," a spokesperson for the volunteer organisation said.

Previous charities who have benefited from the donations include St Anna Kinderspital Cancer Research and Rote Nasen Clown Doctors.

The Vienna Babies Club is a support network for expat women living in and around Vienna who are pregnant or have small children. The non-profit organisation started by mums for mums is made up of approximately 1000 members from nearly 100 countries.
